Clinic News – August 2016

“August 2016 News from the Clinic”

Ultrasound Machine

We are pleased to offer our patients the service of our new ultrasound machine.

With it, Mr Jarrett perform diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound guided injections, direct from our clinic rooms.

Some of our patients have already enjoyed the convenience of being able to have their injections under ultrasound guidance performed by Mr Jarrett in the rooms rather than having to attend a separate appointment at a radiology clinic.

We aim to provide our patients with the best possible service at all times and envision that this service will assist us with this.

Mr Paul Jarrett recently attended a two day course on Musculoskeletal Ultrasound.

We are now able to bring some aspects of ultrasound injection to our practise.

New Technology

A new technique of minimally invasive distal radial fracture fixation developed in France will hopefully soon be available at Murdoch.

Mr Paul Jarrett has arranged with the inventors of the equipment for us to be the first centre in Australia to have access to this new technology.

Shoulder & Elbow Society of Australia Biennial Closed Conference – Darwin

Mr Paul Jarrett attended the 2016 Shoulder & Elbow Society of Australia Biennial Closed Conference this month in Darwin which he found interesting and valuable.

For the next two years, Mr Jarrett has been elected the Secretary and the Treasurer of this association, and the next Shoulder & Elbow conference in 2018 will likely be held here in Perth.

We will keep you up to date on any other news that comes from this exciting conference.
