Welcome Hands and All
April 2016 been another busy month for with the commencement of our Hand and Upper Limb Therapy arm of our practice called Hands & All
Conveniently located within our Murdoch rooms, you can find Hands & All, thanks to the hard work of Jane, Mikalya, Veronica, Emma and the therapists.
We are delighted that Jane, Anna-Lisa and Nicole have joined us to enable a very close connection between patients’ surgeon-directed care and their therapy needs.
Having therapy within the rooms also allows for a more convenient experience for patients and allows us to control patient costs as much as possible.
We have commenced holding regular scientific meetings between Mr Paul Jarrett, the therapists and our Clinical Nurse Emma with the first being on treatment of flexor tendon lacerations and also on rehabilitation after Dupuytren’s disease treatment.

New Telephone Exchange at Murdoch Clinic
On the subject of telephone numbers, the telephone exchange at Murdoch will be closing in April, 2017 rendering our previous telephone number invalid at that stage.
We have therefore engaged new number in advance with our telephone number changing to 1300 JARRETT (1300 527 738) and our fax to 1300 JARFAX (1300 527 329).
These numbers are now working and we would be grateful if you update your contact file to incorporate them please.
Australian and American Hand Surgery Combined Meeting
Mr Paul Jarrett travelled to Sydney recently for the Combined Meeting between the Australian and American Hand Surgery Societies and gave a presentation on Dysfunction Of The Superficial Radial Nerve which was well received.
Medicare Cheques are Stopping
Medicare have made us aware that as of 1st July, 2016 they will no longer be issuing cheques for patient rebates.
We would like to make all our existing and future patients aware that they will need to register their bank account details with Medicare in order to receive their rebates.
Patients can register their details via their myGov account, by completing a Bank account details collection form available at humanservices.gov.au and using the drop box at a Medicare service centre or mailing it to Medicare or by calling 132 011.
